Seed funding for Fine Music

A fabulous new nonprofit performing arts organisation, Bendigo Fine Music has been established – thanks to you! The Ulumbarra Foundation awarded a Power-up grant this year to provide start-up funding for Bendigo Fine Music, whose mission is to enrich our lives through world class fine music experiences.

In conjunction with the Capital Theatre’s 150th birthday, Bendigo Fine Music made its debut on October 27th. Tamara-Anna Cislowska and Luke Severn performed A Capital Pair – a wonderful program of fine music. Tamara-Anna is one of Australia’s most renowned ARIA award-winning pianists, and Luke is a highly sought-after international chamber musician who is also the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Bendigo Symphony Orchestra.

“It has been a busy time getting the organisation up-and-running but we were thrilled when it all came together for our launch. Without the Ulumbarra Foundation’s support to ‘get on the road’ none of this would be possible,” said Thomas Heywood, Chair of Bendigo Fine Music.

Put July 2025 in your diaries when Bendigo Fine Music will play in the Keys of Gold Classical Musical Festival – a whole month of music at 11 historic venues, featuring 27 instruments and 45 performers.
