Performing arts Power-up grant recipients

Thanks to your generous support, the Ulumbarra Foundation’s Performing Arts Power-up program has funded more projects which help local and regional arts organisations realise their potential.

Bendigo Theatre Company received a grant to produce its most ambitious musical since the pandemic — the Bendigo premiere of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert. It marks an exciting leap forward in scale (involving 70 people), staging and creativity, and offers significant opportunities for community celebration and engagement.

Bendigo Youth Theatre provides an outlet for all youth in the Bendigo Region to participate, educate, train and perform in the Theatre Arts. The Ulumbarra Foundation has awarded a grant to allow disadvantaged local students to participate in the upcoming production of Beauty & the Beast in 2026.

The Ulumbarra Foundation board also approved a $2,500 Power-up grant to the Rotary Club of Bendigo to stage its annual Carols by Candlelight concert. The grant recognises many years of Rotary’s voluntary service to the Bendigo community.
