Celebrate Greater Bendigo’s Performing Arts with us!!

How important is Greater Bendigo’s vibrant local performing arts community to you? Creative Australia’s AusArts Day on Thursday 23rd October recognises the vital role that the arts play in our communities. It is an opportunity to champion artists and organisations dedicated to creative expression.

The Ulumbarra Foundation want to elevate the public value of the performing arts in the consciousness of everyday Australians. So please share your voice and support our Future 50 campaign to scale up support for Greater Bendigo’s local performing arts organisations. Be inspired by the stories (see below) of our amazing performers and supporters!

Everyone who shares their story will be entered into a draw for 10 x $100 theatre ticket gift vouchers!

Read your stories about why our community cares about the arts below and on our Instagram feed:

Props Theatre and the making of Bendigo’s young performers

Props Theatre has been a part of the Performing arts in Bendigo for over 10 years and it is thriving on the confidence it gives students. We perform every year at the Capital and the impact on our students having to walk onto a professional stage and a Bendigo iconic building is valuable as a performer and a developing human being.
This building links our young creatives to Bendigo history, a love of the art and a respect for the professional world that we are a part of in so many ways. Watch more here.

Bendigo Comedy Festival

Working on the Bendigo Comedy Festival meant bringing joy to the city. It was just wonderful to create rooms filled with laughter, and see so many locals supporting our new talent. It was really heartwarming to help create a positive and optimistic local community, for both the audiences and the performers.
